The San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD) in California has recently recognized the ECS AC ComposterTM as a composting technology that meets the strictest air emissions control guidelines developed by that agency.

By using air emissions data collected at multiple operating facilities, ECS has shown that the AC Composter is able to reliably capture and control over 80% of volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions produced through composting. Actual test data shows capture and control rates of 90% and higher. This meets the highest criteria of control technology defined by both the BACT guidelines and the District Rule 4565, which applies to all composting facilities permitted in the area. Meeting this standard means that the AC Composter can be automatically considered as a mitigation measure when permitting facilities in the San Joaquin Valley Area of California.
