CompTroller Monitoring System
The CompTroller™ is a control system that enables automatic process control in the composting system. It will keep your system within regulatory compliance and log the data required to provide a compliance record. The operator is given real-time system data and information so that the process can be continuously monitored and, if required, adjusted in the CompTroller graphical user interface (GUI).
A dedicated computer runs the CompTroller's main control program and is connected to a network of remote devices. These devices include the fan VFDs and ECS proprietary zone controller devices. The zone controllers are devices specifically designed and built by ECS for industrial composting applications. Typically, there is one zone controller for each compost zone that connects to the zone dampers and to the zone temperature probes. All the I/O devices in a fan group are connected to a local area network which is then connected by Ethernet to the control server. In addition to running the main control program, the control server runs the CompTroller™ GUI that can be accessed through any remote computer by using a standard web browser.
Keep track of pertinent data to monitor trends, meet regulatory compliance, and imrpove system management.

"We were faced with landfill costs of more than $120,000 per year. Our woodchip cost is around $60,000 annually and we should see a revenue source on the end-product in the area of $30,000 per year. Aside from the fact that environmentally this is the right thing to do, we are saving on filling the landfill, greenhouse gas emissions and it is costing the user of our system far less by composting."Deborah PellowDirector of Wastewater Treatment PlantIshpeming, MI
